Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas and thank you for your ongoing support in my business. I am blessed to have terrific clients like you, and would not have had the level of success I’ve had over the years without you. You are appreciated!

2019 has been an interesting year in real estate. Where 2018 started strong and softened towards the end of the year, 2019 did quite the opposite. A slower start, but since late August, things have been very active. I don’t foresee a sharp rise in prices, but it seems obvious now that we are no longer in decline as sales numbers have steadily improved since the summer, and properly priced listings are selling quickly. In today’s market, it is extremely important to get good advice, so if you or anyone you know have any questions about how this market affects you as a buyer, seller, or investor, call me at 604-312-8920 and let’s chat!

On the home front, this has probably been the busiest “season” for me and Cindy and our “family taxi service”. 3 kids in soccer, part-time jobs, youth group, drum lessons, and more! Cindy has also been a great help in my business as she has her staging certification and has been doing a terrific job of staging my homes for sale. I really believe her skills are getting my listings sold faster and for more money! We just recently sold a house in Murrayville that had 5 offers!

Jude and Morgan completed their two-year commitment at Princeton Baptist Church, and are now back in Salmon Arm where Jude is completing his third year at Millar College of the Bible. Morgan is working on kitchen staff at the school. We enjoy the times when Jude and Morgan visit us; recently they were out for 4 days. However, Cindy still tells Jude he makes too much noise walking around the house in the morning!

Adrianna is in year 4 at SFU, living off-campus in the Capital Hill area of North Burnaby with her friends from the track team. She says her health is great, and she’s in the best running form in years. Adi just started working at the White Spot close to her school and home, and I’m looking forward to the family discount on a few legendary platters! One of Adrianna’s favourite parts about coming home every second weekend are my “motivational speeches”. I’m thinking about recording them

and posting them on YouTube...

Jared is in his second year of Trinity Western University in Computing Sciences. He’s enjoying living on campus, but details about what he spends his time on out there are a bit sketchy. I feel sorry for Jared when he tries to explain to me what he’s learning and my eyes glaze over and I say something like “uh huh” and “most interesting”. It’s all just a little over my head. Jared still plays bass guitar in the Church band, and also enjoys playing on Andy’s new drum kit.

Mireya is 16 and working towards her “N”. I have her enrolled in driving lessons before her road test because I felt it was better that she doesn’t pick up any of my bad driving habits. I also have a theory that if a kid takes the driver’s test in a driving school car, the driving test instructor might mark more leniently. Mireya is taking a break from winter training with her track club and is back in soccer for this season. It’s been 3 or 4 years since she last played, but she’s doing great! Since

Mireya’s 16, I don’t really yell out advice from the sidelines. I now wait until the car

ride home ☺.

Nicole is 14 and is back in soccer. Last year she played both winter and spring soccer, and we’ll see what she decides for this year. She is looking forward to ski season and tells me she wants to try snowboarding. Nicole is also a pretty good dirt biker, and hopefully, after the winter, we’ll get out for a few more rides.

Andy is 11 and plays soccer, Friday Night Basketball, and has recently started drum lessons at the Langley Community Music School. We bought an electronic drum kit that Andy can practice at home with using headphones. However, sometimes it’s better to run the module through a speaker and “let ‘er rip”! Andy and I still love our Tim Hortons outings; it’s always good to have a coffee shop

So Dear Reader, thanks again for your continued support in my business. I’m here to help you with any of your real estate questions, so call me at 604-312-8920 if there’s anything you need. Once again, our family is looking forward to a quiet Christmas time of reflection and reverence for the true Christmas story.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
